An important thing before trying to work with ayurveda, is to know your own constitution.
Each person differ from the other in aspects of feelings, body structure and functions, unlike allopathic medicine, Ayurveda sees each person as a whole world, whatever is in the universe, one has in his body frame. e.g, there is water in te world, so are we constituted mostly of water or fluids… and so on.
Once one knows his constitution, one can know which foods are beneficial for him, and which are not, which diseases or uncomfortablilites one can face, and so on.
I add here a file I took from Dr. Robert Svoboda Book, and it is a great chart to determine your constitution.
Guidelines: 1. Be true to yourself while filling the chart, don’t try to be right, but to be yourself 😉
2. While filling the chart, try to remember yourself throughout your lifetime, and not the last few months or years.
3. Read the instructions inside the file.
4. Please refer to these posts for better understanding: Vata, Pitta, Kapha
Wishing you all wonderful and harmonious health!
